You may have seen that the group of parishioners known as ‘The Friends of Holcot’ have recently installed a new table in the playing field. Last week they tidied the old school site and cleared up part of the churchyard.
The Friends of Holcot meet on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month for a couple of hours when there are maintenance tasks to do. They are friendly bunch, and their tasks variable. For instance cleaning the war memorial, clearing accumulations of leaves, replacing wooden posts, painting the old phone box, clearing back overgrowth, developing the churchyard garden…
If you would like to get involved please contact Roger Gunnett – his contact details are here. You don’t need to commit to every session and you don’t need any particular skills or tools, just a willingness to get involved and help keep our Parish well-maintained. All projects are funded by the Parish Council.
Friends of Holcot – thank you for everything you do
