This message may be of interest. It talks about some of the great work that Northampton Town Football Club Community Trust do, how to get help or get involved.
I work for Northampton Town Football Club Community Trust, the official charity of the club. Our mission is to connect communities and improve lives. We run a range of projects across the town and county to engage young people and adults in the areas of physical and mental health, education training and employment, women’s and girls’ football, anti-crime, disability, tackling loneliness and social isolation. We are always looking for volunteers for a range of roles across the work that we do. If you aren’t a football fan, no problem, there are pastoral, befriending, and other roles too.
https://www.ntfccommunity.co.uk/ – various projects.
I was wondering if you could help signpost me towards any groups/organisations supporting older adults. We have staff for the Tackling Loneliness project making befriending phone calls, doorstop visits, online social groups, walks and stadium visits. (when allowed) I was looking to find out if we can support any agencies doing this?
On another note, I have some funding to deliver adult mental health aware courses (via Mental health England, I am an instructor) free places for voluntary charity/community groups. Perhaps you could help me access such groups to offer a few free places? Any groups helping with foodbanks, befriending, homeless, parents, community groups, good neighbours scheme, parish councils. Any staff who support the public really who may be approached by those struggling with poor mental health.
Happy to give you a ring to talk more, if this is something you’d be interested in exploring. Many thanks.
