 Walks around Holcot

Village walks map March 2013

This circuit route uses footpaths wherever possible but please take care at all times and particularly when using road sections, some of which are narrow and without pavements.

Pram and pushchair access is restricted along the Jitty.  Beware of the uneven surface.  An alternative route is marked in red (pass the White Swan Inn, then walk along Walgrave Rd and turn right into Poplars Lane to rejoin the walk at the eastern end of the Jitty).

Start wherever is most convenient to you but we particularly recommend a visit to the Church, and to the ‘Information Centre’ which is in a converted red phone box on Main Street near the Church.  These are both normally open during daylight hours.

We  also recommend detours to visit the White Swan Inn where lunches are served every day, and the Washbrook which is an interesting nature reserve, wildlife area and home to a number of ducks.

There is a designated Foot & Cycle Track which links Holcot to the extensive amenities of Pitsford Water (more details on this website, page https://www.holcotvillage.co.uk/interesting-places-and-walks/). .

The Parish War Memorial is located at the junction of Back Lane and Moulton Road.

We hope that you have enjoyed your leisurely amble around our village
