“On your journey through life, leave nothing behind you but your footprints”

A huge shout-out for the lovely volunteers who came out on Saturday morning to help keep our parish looking spick and span.

Twelve “good men and true”* took to the highways and byways of the parish and ended up with bag loads of discarded rubbish. An eclectic mix of plastic sheeting, car hubcaps, pieces of Formica and, yes… you guessed it, the almost inevitable dog-poo bag, found their way into the growing purple mountain.

Alongside, of course, the usual crisp packets, bottles, food wrappers and, bizarrely, an almost complete set of good-quality crockery (most of which was beyond retrievable reach).

A fantastic effort from one and all – thank you so much!

* Fifty per cent of this number were (and presumably still are…) ladies  without whom the task would have been that much more difficult.
