Only three sleeps to go – can you bear the excitement…?!

Yes, it’s nearly here! On Sunday 12 July, the Green by Holcot Church will host ‘the greatest show on Earth’! Well… OK… that’s probably a teensy bit optimistic, but hey, it will definitely be an afternoon to remember.

An afternoon full of friendly faces, fun and laughter (and, if you’re canny, a bargain or two as well!). It all starts at 2.00pm, and a veritable cornucopia of treats awaits you:

Bric-a-brac stalls – search out that bargain!
Tea, coffee and refreshments – quench your thirst and sate your appetite
Children’s Fancy Dress Competition – remember to register by 3.00pm
Live music (hopefully) – hum along while you browse and buy
Beautiful flower displays in the Church – take a break; let the scent and solitude revive you.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: CASH ONLY
Unfortunately, it won’t be possible to take debit or credit card payments. So break open those piggy banks, and have a good rummage down the back of the sofa so that you can bring lots of lovely CASH with you. (No buttons or bottle-tops please!)

We’d love to see you there, so please do come and join us! And if you have any last-minute questions, please call Sheila on 07712 763408.

3.00pm on Sunday 12 July is Fancy Dress time! Don’t miss out!

The Holcot Summer Fete is taking place on the Green by the Church on Sunday 12 July.

And we’re calling all princesses, clowns, super heroes, dinosaurs, cartoon characters, monsters, unicorns, fairies… and, oh… anything else you can think of!

Get Mum and Dad to help you create your favourite outfits! Tell them they need to get their imaginations into gear, and dig out some of those funky outfits they used to strut around in 20 years ago (that they hoped would come back into fashion). Yeah… as if!

Then they need to cut them up and sew them back together to create something NEW and FAN-TAS-MA-GORICAL! For YOU to strut around in!

The main event starts at 2.00pm, and to take part in the fancy dress competition, you MUST register your name by 3.00pm.

So come on Mum and Dad time to step up!
