It’s back! The Holcot Hotspot returns; Thursday 15 October; 2.30pm; Holcot Village Hall

We’ve had a lovely long hot summer, but now autumn is in the air, and keeping warm is going to get even more expensive. So why not hunker down in the cosy warmth of the Village Hall.

Whether you’re 19 or 109, it’s an ideal chance to spend a few hours with fellow residents to enjoy low-cost refreshments, friendly company and chat. And, if you want, you can join in sociable activities using the games equipment in the Village Hall. Reckon you’re good at hand-eye coordination? Or maybe you’re a latter-day Doyle Brunson*? Then come along and try your hand at table-tennis or cards. Not for you? Well perhaps indoor bowls, snooker, darts, or dominoes? You can even bring along your own games if that’s more your cup of tea.

Talking of which, if you’d sooner just watch while enjoying a good old-fashioned chin-wag over a nice warming cuppa, you’re equally welcome!

It’s a wonderful opportunity to socialise with existing friends – and make new friends with fellow residents you may not have previously known.

The Holcot Hotspot is not a club, so there’s no membership fee. And, until further notice, there’s no charge for entry. The refreshments, which include biscuits, tea and coffee are charged at cost, so it’s no more expensive than being at home. (And the heating and lighting are FREE!)

Do join us – just turn up – we look forward to seeing you there! And if you (or someone you know) would like help to get to the Village Hall, please call 07785 347297 or email the editor at editor@holcotvillage.co.uk
